Girls Varsity Volleyball

Tim Joyce became the Head Varsity Coach for Penn Manor Girls’ Volleyball in 2013. He started coaching volleyball at Penn Manor as the Junior Varsity Girls’ Coach in 2006. From 2010 to 2013, he coached the JV teams for both the girls’ and boys’ programs at Penn Manor. His other coaching experiences include coaching a USAV 18s boys’ club team, serving as a volunteer assistant coach for Warwick High School Girls’ Volleyball, and working as a clinician at skills camps. Coach Joyce began playing volleyball at Warwick High School and played Junior Olympic volleyball for the Red Rose club team. He has numerous years of experience playing in men’s volleyball leagues and outdoor tournaments.

Joyce graduated from Millersville University with a Bachelor of Science in English Education, and then also earned his Masters Equivalency from MU. In 2016, he earned a Masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University, Irvine.  He started his career teaching middle school English and Social Studies at a Montessori school and has been teaching English at Penn Manor High School since 2004.

Coach Joyce and his family live outside of Mountville, PA. In 2015, he married his wife, Katie. They welcomed their first child, Patrick, in 2017. Joyce is a self-taught musician who plays guitar and bass. He also enjoys following Philadelphia sports teams and camping with his friends.
