Coaches

Dave Stokes.


Head Coach

Biography:

Education. 
Graduate 1990 - Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology. 
Graduate 1993 - Millersville University 

Coach Stokes has been coaching Girls Fastpitch Softball for 26 years. He has been the head coach at Penn Manor since 2007.   

Coach Stokes’s experience as a player in the fast pitch game has spanned over 30 years.  He has been on teams that won (6) Men’s National Fastpitch Tournaments and has been selected to (7) ASA All American Teams, (6) All World Tournament Teams in the North American Fastpitch Association (NAFA).   Coach Stokes was inducted into the NAFA Softball Hall of Fame in 2018. 

Bob Graybill.


Assistant

Biography:

Coach Graybill has been coaching basketball for 32 years, including 4 years as Girls Varsity Head Coach at Penn Manor. He graduated from J.P.McCaskey High School and attended Goldey Beacom College in Delaware, where he also played basketball. Coach Graybill and his wife, Donna, have one son, Rod.

Cathy Riggs.


Assistant

Biography:

Cathy Riggs – Assistant Coach: Coach Riggs joined the Penn Manor HS Softball staff in 2013 as an assistant coach. She graduated from Mid Valley High School in Throop, PA where she earned numerous honors as league all-star for three years as a catcher, including All-Regional Player of the Year in 1991. Coach Riggs went on to play softball at DIII Misericordia University (Dallas, PA) where she was a three-year starter, team Captain for 3 years, and again earned numerous distinctions. Among her awards at the college level were ECAC Catcher of the Year, PAC Catcher of the Year, and ECAC and PAC All-Conference teams for 3 years. In the Fall of 2009, she was inducted into the Northeast Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. Coach Riggs graduated from Misericordia in 1996 with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education. She has completed graduate work in Special Education, Educational Technology, and Mathematics in which she earned Middle School Mathematics certification in 2005. Coach Riggs has been teaching at Hempfield High School, as a Learning Support teacher since 1996, where she academically supports students in all subject areas in grades 9-12. She started her coaching career at HHS as an assistant coach for the first 10 years and then took over as head Varsity coach for 5 years, leading those teams to LL League and District playoffs. When the opportunity to coach in the district her family resides in, Coach Riggs happily accepted the offer to join the PMHS softball staff. She and her husband, John, reside in Lancaster with their three children – Emily (14), Billy (11), and Brock (9).

Jason Curtis.


Assistant

Biography:

Jason Curtis is a volunteered as a softball coach for PMYBSA for seven years and assisted with the related administrative duties as well.  He has also served as an assistant travel softball coach for two years.  This will be his seventh season with Penn Manor Softball.
