Biography:
Eric Urban
Head Coach
Eric Urban became the Head Swimming Coach during the 2017-2018 season. He started swimming in 1993 during the summer for Overlook swim team. He also competed for the Lancaster YMCA club team from 1996-1999. Coach Urban swam for 4 years for Manheim Township High School. Coach Urban started coaching in 2002 as an assistant coach for Overlook summer swim team. He has coached Overlook swim team on an off for several seasons as an assistant (2002-2004, 2007-2009, and 2011-2013) and head coach from 2015 – present). Coach Urban also coached for the Lancaster YMCA from 2007 – 2010 as an assistant and Age Group Head Coach.
Coach Urban graduated from West Chester University in 2006 with a BA in History and PA Teaching Certificate. He earned his Master’s Degree from Rutgers University in 2018 with Masters in Liberal Arts. Coach Urban started teaching in 2011 as a High School Social Studies teacher at Penn Manor.
In his free time, Coach Urban enjoys spending time with his wife, Cindy, anything outdoors (hiking, sports, etc.), playing soccer, golfing, and playing the drums.
Biography:
Brandy Basile
Assistant Coach
Brandy Basile became the Assistant Swimming Coach for Penn Manor in 2017. She started coaching in 2007 and has coached Field Hockey and Track and Field at Penn Manor. Coach Basile has worked with student athletes of all levels having coached elementary- varsity programs. Coach Basile begin swimming competitively when she was nine years old. She has numerous years of experience swimming for Locust Heights, Millersville, Lancaster Aquatic Club, Trident and Penn Manor High school.
Coach Basile graduated from West Chester University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Health. While at West Chester she was a member of the field hockey team which competed in the Atlantic 10 conference. She earned her Master’s Degree in Secondary School Counseling from West Chester University and started her career as a school counselor at Penn Manor High School in 2006.
Coach Basile enjoys spending time with her son, husband, and yellow lab Jersey. She enjoys training and competing in sprint triathlons her favorite leg is the swim. Over the summer she enjoys spending as much time as possible at the Jersey shore and Millersville Swimming Pool.
