Boys Varsity Football Fall 2017-2018 Activities 2017.
Winter Nook January to March 2017
The Penn Manor Football team was active in winter work outs at the Nook. Everyother Sunday evening the team practiced and had the opportunity to work out against other area schools.
Lift A Thon February 2017
The Penn Manor Comets participated in the Lift A Thon. The lead lifter was Jacob Hollinger lifting a total of 212 reps. The team raised money for the Four Diamonds fund.
Team Bowling March 2017
THe team participated in a community bowling day. The team enjoyed spending time in the off season and invited middle school, and junior comets to join them. It was a fun filled day interacting with all ages of Penn Manor football.
Junior Comet Flag Football April 2017
The Penn Manor football team organized and ran a five week instructional and competitive event. Over 200 youth from grades 2 to 9 participated. The high school football players had the opportunity to coach the young teams and interact within the community. During the Spring Fling event a championship game was held with one winning team selected in each age group. The 6 and 7th grade age group there was a tie as both teams were did very well.
Chicken Barbeque May 2017
The Penn Manor Football team participates in the high school annual Spring Fling. This year the Spring Fling had a downpour of rain, but the team and the booster club held in there. They continued to work hard in the rain serving chicken. The money raised went toward the meals for the team at football camp, supply needs, and Friday night in season meals.
Junior Comet Camp June 2017
The Penn Manor Football Program hosted a Youth Jr Comet Camp. Over 50 youth participated in a three day event. Penn Manor allumni returned to assist in coaching the kids as well as current team members. Thanks Coach Groff for all your hard work organizing the event.
Parent and Player Picnic
The annual parent and player picnic was held in early June. The event was full of food and corn hole games. The event was a time to share annoucements and kick off the summer activities.
Lineman Challenge June 2017
The Penn Manor participated in the Lineman Challenge, placing 5th out of 22 teams.
Millersville Camp July 2017
The Penn Manor team participated in the Millersville summer camp. Three days in the hot sun and lots of hard work.
Golf Tournament August 2017
The annual Penn Manor golf tournament was held at Media Heights. Special thanks to Dale and Tammi Keller for organizing such a great event rasing money for the program.
Scrimmage August 2017
The season begins with heat acclimation practices, media day, and picture day. The team was active in practices 3 times a day during camp week. The team then participated in two scrimmages against Oxford, and Hershey.
