Coaches

Tyler Wolf.


Student Coach

Biography:

Tyler Wolf is our dedicated student coach.  Tyler has played football but an injury has interfered with his ability to play the game that he enjoys.  Tyler is dedicated to his team and this year joins the coaching staff officially as a student coach.  Tyler is talented and shows a great deal of leadership.  His plans for the future are to return to Penn Manor upon his college graduation and coach football.  We welcome Tyler to the coaching staff.

John Brubaker.


Head Coach & Defensive Coordinator

Biography:

John Brubaker has been coaching football since 1988. Coach Brubaker is a native Lancaster Countian who graduated from Manheim Central High School in 1983 as a football and track all star. Coach Brubaker set high school track and football records one of which is still in place: Most Carries in a Single Season.  Brubaker was a running back completing two 1000 yard seasons, and was a Big 33 Player.  

After high school Brubaker attended and played football for Millersville University earning his degree and Masters Equivalency in Technology Education.  After college Brubaker taught and coached 28 years at Manheim Central as a football coach and 14 years as a head track coach.  While at Manheim Central, Brubaker was the head JV coach, and the varsity defensive coordinator.  At Manheim he assisted in coaching the team to 15 District III championships, 1 state title, and 2 state title runner up. Brubaker coached in the North South All Star game in 2002, 2013, and 2018.  He has been vice president and president of the Quarter Back Club, Director of Speed Training camps, youth camps, and flag football camps. Coach Brubaker has been recognized for years of service, and presented coaching classes at several different coaches conferences.  In 2012, Coach Brubaker was inducted into the Manheim Central Hall of Fame.

Coach Brubaker began at Penn Manor in 2015 as the Head Football Coach and Technology Education Teacher. He is currently retired from teaching as of 2022.  He is the 10th coach for Penn Manor High School and is working hard to connect and build the programs from the youth program to the high school program.  Since 2015, Coach Brubaker initiated a flag football program for over 250 youth, and initiated  a youth summer camp to help promote football. At the high school level coach Brubaker stresses character development, work ethic, accountability, and  shares his passion for football.

Outside of football Coach Brubaker values family, faith, and community.  John Brubaker is married to his wife Janna.  Together they have two grown children Joe and Aaron, and grandsons AJ, Peter, and Wyatt.   Besides football, Coach enjoys kayaking, snowmobiling, and riding four wheelers at his cabin in Center County.  He is a member of LCBC and attends the Manheim campus.

Joel Boas.


Offensive Coordinator

Biography:

Coach Boas is a 2003 graduate of Penn Manor High School where he played linebacker and was a Tri-County all-star for the Comets. He has a love of coaching and working with youth.  Joel has coached the A-Team  for 2 years and the Middle School team.  He joins the high school coaching staff  in 2020 as the quarter back coach.  Joel is the owner of Boas Painting and has 2 sons, JJ, Maverick and a daughter Luca.  In his free time, he likes to go on family adventures and root for the Miami Hurricanes. Coach Boas is the Offensive Coordinator.

 

 

Dan Kreider.


Running Back Coach

Biography:

Coach Kreider is a graduate from Manheim Central High School.  He graduated and played football at the University of New Hampshire.  Coach Kreider then continued his career in football and played 10 years in the NFL for the Steelers (8), Rams (1), and Cardinals (1).  Coach Kreider was a member of the Big 33 Team in 1995, and the superbowl in 2006. Coach Kreider is married and has 4 kids. He is a business owner in the property management and construction fields.  He enjoys hunting and spending time with his family. Coach Kreider has been with the Penn Manor coaching staff since 2019.

Jamaal Millisock Sr.


Assistant Coach JV Head Coach

Biography:

Jamaal Millisock Sr., known to the team as “Coach Socks” for his vast collection of socks that he displays throughout the season.. He has been with PM since 2021. He joined the team after a successful career playing semi pro football with the Lancaster County Cyclones where he won a Championship as an offensive lineman. Coach Socks is an Army Veteran and was also raised as an Air Force military brat. He grew up moving from Air base to Air base but claims Aviano, Italy as his home. He was lucky to play and win a European DoDDs Football Championship while in Italy. Like all of our coaches he brings a Championship experience and mentality to pass down to our student athletes. He attended college, where he studied Juvenile Justice. After traveling he finally made it back to Lancaster County with is two children Jamaal Jr (J.J.), and Jasmine. He resides in Penn Manor school district with his fiancé Melissa and his two children. He is so proud of his soon to be blended family of 6 kids and 5 grandgirls. He is a proud volunteer fire fighter at West Willow. He is still fighting a very aggressive form of gastric diffuse cancer that required a full stomach removal. His energy and camaraderie with the staff, team, and community can’t be missed.

Codie Ewing.


Assistant Coach

Biography:

Coach Ewing’s joined the coaching staff at Penn Manor High School n 2019. Coach Ewing works with the lineman. Previously, Coach Ewing was the assistant head coach at Wheatland Middle School (Lancaster, PA) focusing on the offensive and defensive line while running the special teams. Codie is a local product being raised in Lancaster where he graduated from both J.P. McCaskey and Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology. Codie played football all four years while attending J.P.  McCaskey where he was a part of an LL playoff birth his senior year. Codie currently resides in Lancaster. Codie is an avid bowler and you can often find him at the local basketball courts when not coaching.

Quintin Owens.


Assistant Coach

Biography:

Coach Quintin Owens is a 2001 graduate of Reading High School where he played full back, tight end, linebacker and safety.  After 4 consecutive winning seasons, district championships, and a state playoff run, Owens went on to play free safety at Millersville University (class of 2005). 

Coach Owens has been coaching both Junior High and High school football for 10 years. He loves the game of football and is even more passionate about supporting the student athletes on and off the field. Coach Owens is a School Counselor at McCaskey High School. 

When he isn’t coaching, he enjoys spending time with his family; his wife Kristina and daughters Naima, Wanda, Keira and Jazleen. He also enjoys working out, watching football (Go Birds) and spending time with friends and family. 

Coach Owens joined  the Penn Manor coaching staff  in 2023 and encouraging the players to become the best versions of themselves.  Coach Owens also took over as Defensive Coordinator in 2024.

Chris Tongel.


Assistant Coach

Biography:

Christopher Tongel enters his first season with the Penn Manor Football coaching staff, working with the offensive line.  Coach Tongel is a 2014 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School, having competed in football, wrestling, and lacrosse.  He attended Elizabethtown College and played lacrosse, earning recognition on the Landmark Conference Honor Roll.  Team achievements included multiple Landmark Conference championships and NCAA tournament bids.  Coach Tongel enjoys working as a member of the Academic Support Team at Pequea Elementary School within the Penn Manor District.  He enjoys sporting a goofy or silly necktie each day for the students he works with.  He is also proud to serve as a volunteer Hunter-Trapper Educator for the Pennsylvania Game Commission.  Coach Tongel is a contributing writer for 717 Sports, a local sports media company.  He lives in Willow Street with his wife, Brianna, and daughter, Paisley.  In his free time he enjoys exploring and engaging in outdoor activities with his wife, including archery hunting, fishing, and camping.   Coach Tongel is excited to joins the Comets staff!

Nicholas Thompson.


Volunteer Coach

Biography:

This is the first year for Nicholas Thompson a Millersville student to become an Athletic Director.  Chris has experience in long snapping and will be assisting the team this season.

Mike Korom.


Head Coach Grade 7 to 9-Varsity

Biography:

Head Coach Grade 9 Mike Korom is beginning his 2nd year as the Head Junior High Coach. He attended Archbishop Wood High School and Clarion University. Mike has been a teacher and coach since 1977. Before coming to Penn Manor, Mike was the Head Freshman Football Coach at JP McCaskey. He has been a Varsity Assistant Coach at Central Bucks and Downingtown and Varsity Head Coach at Valley Forge Military Academy, Harriton, Unionville and Twin Valley. Coach Korom has won 2 District I Championships with Harriton High School and Valley Forge Military Academy. He has also been the Head Coach in The Montgomery County All-Star Game and The Delaware County Hero Bowl. Mike and his wife, Virginia, live in Manheim and enjoy traveling, going to concerts and spending time with their family.    

Steve Weidner.


7 to 9 JV Head Coach

Biography:

Assistant Coach Steven Weidner: Coach Weidner is the head coach of the middle school JV team which is typically the 7th and 8th graders.  Coach Weidner graduated from Western Maryland with a Health and Physical Education Degree in 1993.  Have taught and coached at Penn Manor for 20+ years (varsity and Junior High).  Coach Weidner is married to wife Abbie and has 3 children (Jacob, Samantha, and Logan).  Coach Weidner enjoys spending time with family and traveling to different regions of the world.  

Streeter Stuart.


Assistant Coach Grade 7 to 9

Biography:

Assistant Coach Grade 7 to 9 Streeter Stuart  is in his 25th year coaching football for Penn Manor, including time as a varsity assistant and many years as the head 9th grade coach.  He also coached with the varsity baseball team for many years including four seasons as the head coach.   A world history teacher here at the high school, he is a 1989 graduate of Southern Lehigh High School where he played football and baseball, and he is a member of Southern Lehigh's athletic Hall of Fame.  After high school Coach Stuart attended the University of Virginia where he was a four-year letter winner for the Cavalier baseball team.  In his spare time Coach Stuart enjoys riding his bike, going to college football games, attending concerts, and spending time with his wife Vicky and sons Spencer and Jackson.

John Boxleitner.


Assistant Coach Grade 7 to 9

Biography:

Assistant Coach Jon Boxleitner:  Jon Boxleitner played high school football at Lampeter-Strasburg (Class of ‘83) under former Penn Manor superintendent Don Stewart, and college ball at Millersville (Class of ‘92) under College Football Hall of Fame coach Gene Carpenter. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps under commander-in-chief Ronald Reagan. He also holds a master’s degree from Virginia Tech (Class of ‘08). His roll with the Comets is at the junior high level coaching the running backs, linebackers and special teams. He has been a social studies teacher at Penn Manor since 1996. He is also the Mock Trial team advisor and the public address announcer for the Penn Manor baseball “boys of spring.”  Coach Box took over as head 9th grade coach in 2024.

Pat Weaver.


Assistant Coach Grade 7 to 9

Biography:

Assistant Coach Pat Weaver: Pat is entering his 10th year with the Penn Manor Jr. High programs. Coach Weaver is a graduate from Lancaster Catholic High School and Mount Joy Vo-Tech School Graphic Arts. He is also very proud to be celebrating 45 years of coaching football. Pat started coaching in the midget programs, then Manheim Township, and then did 21 years with Manheim Central high school. It has been a wonderful opportunity working with young people all these years. Some things never change--pride, ambition, desire and wanting to learn the great game of football.  Coach Weaver also coaches winter and spring track at Manheim Twp. High School, where he had been the varsity throws coach since 2003. Pat is retired and he and his wife Nanette live in Manor Twp. They have 3 children--Janine, Sharon and Philip along with 4 grandchildren. Pat also loves working at his church, Grace Church in Lancaster, where he is a greeter and he and his wife are deacons.

Michael Chance.


Volunteer Coach

Biography:

MIchael joins the staff coming to Penn Manor with many years of coaching experience at the PMJC level.  We Welcome Michael to the team.

Coach Chance is in his 7th year coaching at the youth level with Penn Manor Junior Comets, where his teams enjoyed winning seasons and made play-offs every year. He also served on the Board and as Football Director. 

Chance graduated from Lampeter-Strasburg High School where he played football and wrestled. Coach Chance then attended Millersville University and studied secondary education. He has been a Pennsylvania State Constable for 13 years. 

Coach Chance is excited to continue to work with athletes he has coached since they were second graders and to help all players reach their full potential. He will be working with the Offensive and Defensive Lines, as well as on conditioning. 

Kelly McNeal.


Athletic Trainer

Biography:

Athletic Trainer Kelly NcNeal camp to Penn Manor in 2019.  She is a previous graduate of Penn Manor.  She attended West Chester University for her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training.  Before coming to Penn Manor, Kelly worked at Concord University in West Virginia with their men's soccer and softball teams.  She finished her Master's degree in Health Promotion from Concord University. Trainer Kelly is married to her husband, Brandon and they have one dog, Leo. When she isn't working, she enjoys being outdoors traveling, hiking, fishing, and boating.

Kyle Nazarchuk.


Photographer

Biography:

Kyle Nazarchuk starting volunteering with the Penn Manor Football team in 2019 as a photographer.  He has been valuable in helping to offer photos to players and parents both at games and practices.  Kyle has also provided the team with highlight video's to use on social media and at the banquets.  

Kyle attends Millersville University, majoring in meteorology, and pursuing a career in earth science secondary education.
