Spectrum of Success
What is your commitment level?
Resistant: I complain about coaches, teammates, workouts, team rules. I pull against the goals of team.
Reluctant: I give half efforts, I have a wait and see attitude, I am skeptical of the team’s success, hesitantly do what is asked, I am not bought in totally to the team
Existent: I am there in body but not mind and spirit, I show up but give half efforts and look for short cuts, I am apathetic toward team, I typically go through the motions
Compliant: I will do what is asked by the coaches and leaders, I do enough to get by, I sometimes need pushed to get started
Committed: I go the extra mile, I am self-motivated, I take initiative, I do what is right even when coaches aren’t watching me.
Compelled: I am a higher standard person, no matter the adversity I am there 100%, I always prepare, train and compete at the highest level possible. I push teammates to have the same passion for success.
(Successful teams that have an 80% or better committed/compelled level are high performing units that regularly experience success)
